London’s Save You Records teams up with Fuse resident Ben Rau for a standout new single entitled ‘Zieglers House’ featuring a remix from the ever-excellent Jordan Peak.
Save You has progressively built a reputation as one of the UK’s most interesting dance music labels over the last few years, releasing outstanding House and Techno from the likes of Jay Tripwire, MarcAshken, Ste Roberts, Nitin and of course label bosses DeadEcho. Never one to be tied releasing from a narrow genre, the label’s output has gained fans as diverse as Maya Jane Coles, Mosca, Untold, Dusky, DJ T, Umek and Alan Fitzpatrick.
Now the Save You team is back with a new record from Fuse Resident, Ben Rau, a producer who has bucked the trend by starting life in Berlin and ending up in London! Rau has previously recorded for the Fuse label as well as having featured as a resident for them from the start and recently released a full EP on the highly respected Luna Records.
‘Ziegler’s House’ is a deep and bubbling slice of House music that features a rich, bobbing bassline, emotive melodic elements and some subtly interspersed and heavily effected vocals. Slickly produced yet somehow still raw and heartfelt, this is Rau at his best, delivering a dance floor gem with real feeling. Cleverly released just in time for the summer season to kick off, Save You drop this safe in the knowledge that this hands in the air track will no doubt be a terrace party killer.
The original mix is backed by a remix from the ever-excellent Jordan Peak, a producer best known for his release on labels such as Morris Audio, Robsoul & Tsuba. Here he takes an unexpected turn delivering an intense techno rework that though tougher than much of his output seems a brilliant choice with its subtle use of the original parts in a stripped, organic mix, quality stuff.
Save You Records never disappoint and this is yet another single to bring a smile to the face of electronic music lovers everywhere. Released as a hand printed 12” with an exclusive illustration from the label’s in-house artist, this is one for vinyl collectors to snap up whilst they can.
